As an instructional
designer/web developer, I produce hand-crafted web sites that are
visually appealing, user friendly, easy to navigate, and informative.
My web design
style does not include bells and whistles i.e. flashing images,
use of multiple frames. The focus is solely centered on the needs
of the client and its target audience with integrity, resulting
in positive user outcomes.
I agree to provide
services for clients who promote a service and/or product with a
mission to make the world a better experience for all.
Initially I
talk directly with the client, asking a series of need assessment
questions. I will design a home page mock-up with the goal of reaching
an agreement including the site’s graphic design/layout, content,
navigational system, and overall site concept.
After this is
achieved and approved by both sides, the site’s layout will
not change. It becomes the “template” for the rest of
the site. With this criteria set, the development of the secondary
pages can begin.
Throughout this
process, the client must identify one contact person with whom I
can consistently communicate in a direct and timely manner.
The client and
Applegate Consulting need stated developmental deadlines to ensure
the process continues on schedule.
The client will
agree to permit the inclusion of an Applegate Consulting web design
credit on the bottom of the home page. This will not distract from
the original purpose of the site.
All pricing
is negotiable depending on service needs of the client:
cost for initial web site development,
including one year service maintenance agreement;
cost for
subsequent yearly service maintenance agreement.*
*One year service
maintenance includes implementing minor changes, content updates,
and general site “tweaking.” It does not include re-design
and/or re-navigation of the web site.
Web Server/FTP
Services: I will use the client’s existing web server account.
I will need access to the necessary passwords. If the client does
not have a server and/or domain name, I will purchase server space
and domain name at an additional cost.
Client will
be invoiced when both parties agree that the site is ready to be
published on the Internet. Remember that because of the service
maintenance agreement, a site does not need to be “finished”
to be published. One of the major strengths of the Internet is that
the product can continually be improved as dictated by user’s
feedback. A usability survey will be linked from the home page requesting
user feedback.
I strongly urge
clients to review the provided examples. My web design philosophy/style
is not for everyone. I prefer to work with clients who support my
web site vision and passion, as this ensures a final product satisfactory
to all.
Please review
my Work Samples link to review my web projects
samples, I have included the thoughts behind each project and the
process included to determine the final product.
Upon request,
I will provide additional web project samples.
